SKI ALPBACH, AUSTRIA – GREAT FOR FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS

For those looking for resort charm and atmosphere then the ski holiday resort of Alpbach is tough to beat. Alpbach exudes style and character as it clings to the side of the valley, overlooking its ski area. The ski and snowboard area in Alpbach is ideal for families, beginners and intermediates and at Inneralpbach there are ski-in, ski-out and slope side hotels and accommodation. There are a couple of learners slopes close to the centre of Alpbach.

ALPBACH SKI HOLIDAYS IN THE STUNNING RESORT OF ALPBACH

The relaxed pace of Alpbach together with a real alpine charm make Alpbach a favourite for families. The compact resort centre has pretty light traffic and the resort amenities are not far from each other. The skiing in Alpbach also favours the family ski holiday with gentle terrain and tree-lined ski pistes. For those wanting immediate access to and from the ski area in Alpbach then Inneralpbach is a better option than Alpbach itself, although Inneralpbach does not have the charm of Alpbach itself. Alpbach has a couple of beginners ski lifts located close to the resort centre but the real ski area is located across the valley and can be accessed via Inneralpbach or the Wiedersbergerhorn gondola located just beneath the resort. The lower slopes in Alpbach are all tree-lined whilst the upper section is above the tree-line. There is little steep skiing in Alpbach although there are some off-piste bowls for the better skiers or snowboarders. The neighbouring ski area at Reith im Alpbachtal is also covered by the Alpbach ski pass offering further similar ski terrain.
