Ideally located for flights into Salzburg Airport, the ski holiday resort of Leogang offers an intermediate dominated ski area that connects to the extensive Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang Ski Circus area, with over 200 km of mostly intermediate ski pistes. The ski area is well connected by lift as well as free ski bus, which run between the three main resorts. The area is famous for its après ski and infact received an award in recognition of this. Whilst the altitude of the skiing is not as high as some neighbouring resorts and many ski resorts further west, the ski areas are well serviced by artificial snow making facilities ensuring that the hugely popular ski areas can cope with the demands placed on the natural resources. After dark the fun switches to floodlit skiing and boarding on the lower slopes above Leogang or one of the many après ski bars that have made Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang one of the best après ski holiday destinations anywhere.
