Ski Ellmau, a neighbouring resort of Soll and part of the Ski Welt area
The attractive ski resort village of Ellmau forms part of the Ski Welt ski area and thus offers extensive and interesting terrain across a wide area. The resort is relatively low but is has a good snow record all the same and has extensive snow making facilities. The skiing is best characterised by gentle tree-lined runs that are best suited to the beginner or early intermediate. More advanced terrain has to be sought slightly further afield in the Ski Welt area. The area is certainly interesting to explore for even the novice skier and the sign posts can help to guide the skier on excursions to other ski areas in the Ski Welt.
The area is popular and the number of skiers is often large but the area seems to absorb them all. The charming village is located along the valley from Scheffau and the lively Soll where après ski is legendary. Ellamu offers a more family and sedate pace away from the ski slopes, although nightlife is also on hand.
