Ski holidays in Jerzens in the Pitztal Valley, Austria
Jerzens, the home of the Austrian ski racer Benni Raich, is located between the Inn Valley and the Pitztal Glacier.
The ski area above Jerzens is known as the Hochzeiger and is a mid-sized area with predominantly beginner and intermediate slopes. With a base station of 1450 metres the snow record is pretty good. The mid-station is the location for the kids ski area, whilst below that the runs descend through the trees back to the base station. There is a half pipe in the Jerzens ski area and in keeping with the race heritage of Jerzens local Benni Raich, there is a ski piste with speed timing. There is a ski locker / deposit at the base station so that ski and snowboard gear need not go back into Jerzens.
