Ski Soll – the ski holiday resort of Soll is at the heart of the Ski Welt ski area and enjoys a well deserved reputation for après ski.
Soll, centrally located in the Ski Welt and offering some of the most diverse ski terrain in the area is a popular destination for many nationalities. The après ski is famous and the scene is rather set when you come across the numerous giant witches that pop up around the ski area and ski resort. The resort of Soll and its ski area is dominated by the Hohe Salve, the highest point in the Ski Welt and an impressive dome shaped peak which offers the most demanding ski terrain in the entire Ski Welt area. The Chapel at the peak is a good place to stop and seek divine intervention if you have been tempted by the offerings of the neighbouring bar and are about to embark on one of the steeps on offer. There are less severe descents available from the Hohe Salve. Further below the peak the runs are wide and tree-lined and connect well with the other ski areas contained within the Ski Welt. This ski terrain is best suited to beginner and intermediate skiers. For the 2008/09 winter the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser ski region is to be lift linked with the Westendorf / Kitzbuhel ski area via Brixen im Thale to form the largest lift linked ski region in Austria. So for those staying in Soll it is possible to ski directly into the Westendorf / Kitzbuhel ski areas from Soll, via Brixen.

At the bottom of the ski out to the resort, the après ski bars begin to surface although a couple of them are in the safety of the very flat nursery area. The holiday resort of Soll itself starts a couple of hundred metres further, past some more witches. Here the après ski action takes place way into the small hours and safely away for the ski pistes.
