Ski holidays in the Kitzbuheler Alpen ski region
The Kitzbuheler Alpen ski region includes some of the big names in Austrian skiing with resorts such as Kitzbuhel, Soll, Alpbach, Ellmau, Westendorf and Scheffau all included in the Kitzbuheler Alpen ski pass.
Many of the resorts are lift linked within the individual ski areas which make up the Kitzbuheler Alpen ski region; those of Kitzbuhel, Wilder Kaiser - Ski Welt, Wildschonau, Alpbachtal and the Schneewinkel ski areas. Buses run between these areas and there are many individual ski resorts that serve the areas. Of these areas the biggest is the Ski Welt ski area with around 250km of ski pistes and over 90 ski lifts. The area is served by numerous ski resorts. The most famous ski area with the Kitzbuheler Alpen ski region is easily Kitzbuhel, host to the biggest and most high profile ski race in the world and boasting a great ski area and wonderful medieval walled town centre.
