Axamer Lizum skiing on Christmas eve

Just back from Axamer Lizum, Innsbruck and had superb conditions, the best skiing for the last week and certainly the best piste skiing of the season so far, with groomed fresh snow and very little ice. The weather at the top of Axamer Lizum was noticeably cold and the sunny skies were welcome after a lot of grey skies recently. For those visiting over Christmas or New Year then the conditions are about as good as you can get for this time of the year. There was still some powder skiing on offer but most of it was tracked out by today. Snow is forecast for Christmas day all the way down to Innsbruck with very cold and clear conditions for the weekend.
