Finally the forecast delivers

After days of waiting for new snow in Innsbruck it arrived overnight. For the last week the weather forecasts have predicted snow in the Innsbruck ski region. Whilst there has been snow in every valley both north and south of Innsbruck, my local hill, Axamer Lizum has relied on the great snow that arrived before New Year and the snow making that has gone on in the frigid conditions since - the snow really has past us on the way to more famous Austrian ski holiday resorts. Snow is forecast for the coming 4 days and the 6 day forecast is for continued cold temperatures in Innsbruck. Check out latest video snow report from today:
