Gerlos in après ski full swing, Konigsleiten deep in snow

Just back from the Zillertal Arena and saw Gerlos après ski at its best - snowing heavily, europop après ski mixes, Glühwein stands and the mountain lit up in the distance - it was a great sight. The lifts were running today in Gerlos and for those up there it was certainly a great powder day. I went along to see the season opening après ski party that kicked off today and is set to run all weekend. I also popped into Konigsleiten, another resort in the Zillertal Arena and possibly the prettiest with chalet accommodation offering great ski-in, ski-out access and really great views over to the Hochkrimml ski area, another part of the Zillertal Arena. Snow and après ski is set for the entire weekend in Gerlos - so powder turns and partying for those lucky or wise enough to have booked in this weekend!

I definitely have to go to gerlos to get some really good apres ski!!!! (of course some skiing as well)
Hi Kathrin, Gerlos really does have both - it sits in the heart of the Zillertal Arena ski region and has the best après ski in the area. Conditions there are currently fantastic although slightly better on the slopes than in the après ski bars as they are still waiting for the peak season. Empty slopes though and great snow - Gerlos would be a very good place to be today.
