Gerlos serves up great snow and blue skies on 26th December

At the heart of the Zillertal Arena, Gerlos offered great skiing both on and off-piste, whilst the terrain around Wilde Krimml that links the ski areas of Gerlos and Zell am Ziller had some of the most spectacular scenery that you will see; all on Boxing Day 2008. For intermediate skiers and snowboarders, Gerlos and the Zillertal Arena ski region offer superb intermediate skiing. Today the air was frigid and on some of the quicker sections the wind was biting. The weather is set to be very cold and clear through into next week and the New Year period.
It was FREEZING! I was only in the valley in Gerlos doing some cross country skiing and my nose was definitely happy to be warmed by a hot chocolate afterwards! The cross country tracks were really pretty, actually - taking you along the river and the valley.
Freezing is good! Bright blue skies and cold, cold air - conditions could not have better and tons of new snow!
