Possibly:) At least the Germans took Right Said Fred and made them their own. This was a great cultural contribution for the rest of the world - they did the same with the Hof. When these ‘artists’ realised their fame and fortune was assured in Germany the rest of the world was certainly spared further torment.

Thanks for the contribution Kathrin, I have seen many Germans on the snow, maybe it was a better option to actually download with the lift?

Hi John, in my surfing days I once saw a performance surf board screwed down on top of a VW Beetle - by the looks of the screws it was there for the long haul. Maybe this guy had similar views as to how sports gear should be used and displayed. He should have lit the bindings and then the board - he would have been very comfortable on the lift. This would also have enabled him to look again at his vehicle for descending a mountain although in this case that certainly wasn’t non-mechanised.

I think its good that he won’t get any money…shows that you should do what the “lifteler” (lift staff) tells you to do

I read this article in the paper & apparently he used his military training experience to keep warm & survive , but if he is anything more than a private I,d be surprised. Another question is why did he even bother to take the snowboard up the mountain if he wasn’t going to use it to go down the mountain.
Snowboarders are strange!
