Glacier fest this weekend on the Rettenbach and Stubai Glaciers

So we will be covering 2 great events this weekend on the glaciers over here in Austria. The Stubai Glacier will be hosting the moreboards.com opening weekend freestyle event and party (as if that needing adding). Kathy will be our Skiing Austria ambassador over the weekend on the Stubai Glacier and has made a vow to be getting the first gondola up tomorrow for the event. She seems to have some seriously misplaced belief in her self-restraint as the moreboards.com guys are hosting a party in the Dorfpub, Neustift tonight. My prediction is of videos and photos from about 3 pm tomorrow in fading light on the Stubai Glacier.

I on the other hand will be on the Rettenbach glacier, in Solden for the FIS opening of the 09/10 race calendar. Even without the Herminator the Austrians will be putting some top racers on the course and there will be legions of followers to celebrate an Austrian victory or Austrian capitulation – it is very much in their genes!
