Heavy snow in the mountains around Innsbruck and towards Salzburg
The TV weather channel here in Austria complete with its accompanying Volksmusik is showing a very white landscape across Austria. The Zillertal Arena resorts of Gerlos and Konigsleiten are continuing to see heavy snow as are the Zell am See - Kaprun and Saalbach-Hinterglemm regions. The Kitzsteinhorn Glacier looked in great shape whilst all the Austrian glaciers are showing the rest of the Alps what Autumn snow is all about – the conditions on the Hintertux Glacier and Stubai Glacier have been and will over the next few days be exceptional – cold and lots of new snow. On the northern edge of Innsbruck I can estimate the snow level to be about 1100m from our office window. Yesterday afternoon the skies cleared briefly and the Patscherkofel emerge from the clouds looking pretty good above Innsbruck. All good here in Austria!

Is good to hear that is deep snow in Kaprun, on 15 november I am going there for a short vacation.
Yes the conditions should be really superb, Austria has has some great early season skiing and at the moment the Salzburg region of the country is getting some really heavy snow. Let us know how your ski break to Kaprun goes.
