I can’t snowboard but if I could it would have to be on a Burton

Just back from the Burton European HQ in Innsbruck where I picked up a snowboard for a project we are heavily working on right now. I called into their store on the weekend and by the today had a complementary snowboard after they had heard our ideas. From the shop staff to the Europe product manager of Burton they were very cool, friendly and approachable people. It seems the ethos runs throughout the firm. I did tell them what I was going to do with their Burton board but I don’t think they wanted to watch the procedure of it being cut it 2 :)

Cool. I am skiing more these days but still take out my snowboard a few times a season. I have always but once been riding Burton Snowboards and I think Burton is a great company. Amazing what impact the evolution of snowboards had on the ski industry. If I would glew together my powder skis I would have a snowboard. Looking forward to see what your plans are with the board. Keep us posted.

Ok brown, you’ve managed to get a free snowboard are you swapping it for one slightly used cable car? or is this a ligit project?

Hey Bard, I am still trying to master skiing so I couldn’t think of trying another snow sport. I have friends that do both and well. I saw those split boards a few years ago that you could use for mobility but it seems that wasn’t the answer - maybe gluing powder boards together might be the answer.

Hey John, no underhand deals going on - just a random idea and some good guys at Burton helping out. Hopefully the idea is more iPod than zeppelin.
