If he could walk he could ski powder
Josh my 13 month old son wore ski goggles on day 1 and with them came a promise that he would ski the day after his first steps, not a day later. Well the first step is still to materialise and Josh is set to miss another powder day on the local glaciers. The weather over here in Innsbruck is anything but summer-like right now and heavy snow is forecast down to 1000 metres over the weekend. Another great opportunity to make his first day on skis his first in powder goes astray. That of course can all change should Josh decides to put one foot in front of the other just once over the next 2 days. To be continued…
sounds like you’re chomping at the bit to get josh on the slopes,& if the weather stays as it is , you’ve still got plenty of time this summer. On another note, as the poms are under performing again! chuck your support behind that little known commonwealth outpost NZ & back the All Whites, hard to believe it is still possible for a tiny country without a professional league still able to qualify for the second phase of the WC finals, I don’t beleive they will of coarse, but nice to see the underdogs doing so well.
Yes well the Hintertux Glacier is open all summer so no need to rush the little fella. I had hoped he would get on skis before 1 but even before 2 there are many dissenting voices. I can appreciate that he won’t be ready to head off down the pistes on his own just yet but to pigeon-hole all kids and give them an age to start skiing is wrong. His legs are like 100 year old cedars already - once he can stand on them he is on the snow for sure. On the footballing side of things then England have been poor that is for sure - the great thing about living in Austria is that the local criticism is very muted - the locals are aware they offer an altogether different brand of the sport and it is not good on the eye.
hi john. i was totally rooting for NZ. great game against italy! it would be so cool if they make it to the next round. your goalie is a star!
Yes NZ had a great run, I think there next success will be in NZ in 2011 with an egg like ball. I think Austria might next see some football success when they next hold a tournament and receive automatic qualification - pessimistic for sure but they aren’t great.
