Salzburg forecast over one metre of snow this weekend

Freezing, windy and snowing here in Innsbruck with wind burn more likely than sun burn. The snow is falling intermittently at the moment but there is forecast a good fall over the next 2 days and snow right through next week. Salzburg is looking at epic snow falls this weekend with severe weather warnings in force, with over a metre of new snow set to fall in the Salzburg region. Resorts such as Flachau, Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Zell am See / Kaprun, Altenmarkt-Zauchensee are all set to get a great covering, perfect timing for the holiday period that starts in a couple of weeks.
