Unbeatable snow and style in Bregenzerwald

So today it was time for some runs in the biggest and highest ski area in the Bregenzerwald ski region, Warth-Schrocken, just across a ridge from Lech am Arlberg and boasting the biggest snow fall accumulation of any ski area in Europe (Damuls also in Bregenzerwald claims the title for the most snow at resort level). Warth is located at just under 1500m, although this good resort is completely immaterial, it is its location in a region with an unsurpassed snow accumulation that puts it at the top of the pile in Europe. Uncharacteristically there has been no new snow for a couple of weeks now, just very cold and clear weather but the off-piste was still attracting skiers and snowboarders today. The piste skiing was really excellent. For those looking for stunning and stylish villages, the best snow record in the Alps and are happy to enjoy evenings with impressive food and superb nature and architecture, without après ski music blaring out then Bregenzerwald really is very tough to beat.
