Solden opens with its usual bang in October

In October, hen the non-glacier skiing world is trudging the ski shows and thumbing travel brochures, Solden in Austria is already hard into the skiing and snowboarding with season opening festivals and the season opening FIS races of the 09/10 race calendar. 09 to 11 October 2009 there is equipment testing and DJ’s on both the Rettenbach and Tiefenbach Glaciers. Then on the 24/25 October 2009 on the Rettenbach Glacier are the FIS mens and womens GS races. Both events are sure to be huge parties and  a great way to get the winter underway.
