First an email yesterday evening from a friend in St Anton saying it was dumping with snow, then another from Gerlos today with 40cm of snow in the resort this morning and a trip down to Innsbruck to see snow all over the city - this latest weather system is going make many ski holiday [...]

Spring may have arrived in Austria but tonight there was heavy snow in Gerlos. Dinner at the Hotel Kristall, Gerlos with huge snowflakes coming down outside the window was pretty special. So the skies cleared today and the powder in both Konigsleiten and Hochkrimml was great. The gradient in the Konigsleiten area of the Zillertal Arena was better for powder skiing and there was some great powder routes on offer but it was a nice surprise to ski some powder on the fringes of the Hochkrimml [...]
Gerlos and the Zillertal Arena delivered a big, big powder day today. Zell am Ziller had similar snow but the low cloud conditions were best in Gerlos where the sun broke through for some good periods. The powder snow was superb. Check out our latest snow report from the slopes of Gerlos today:
