There will be a lot of tracks in a lot of off-piste areas by now but today was a day to be a piste skier in the ski holiday resort of Kuhtai. Conditions on piste were exceptional with the fresh snow offering fantastic carving conditions and not a spot of ice to be found anywhere. The sun was out and there were a good number of people in the resort with many taking up sunny spots on the terraces of the mountain huts. Kuhtai is located at 2020m and is essentially ski-in, ski-out throughout the resort. It is also linked with the neighbouring Hochoetz in the Otztal valley.
