First conceived in 2008 and opened in 2009 the skigloo represents an oasis in snowy and beautiful world in the mountains above Innsbruck. It is a place where friends and skiers / snowboarders meet a few times per winter to celebrate the winter with a few drinks. Located at around 2000m in the off-piste / back-country of Axamer Lizum, Innsbruck the skigloo version 3 will be open for business at the end of this month and will be offering all fans of www.facebook.com/skiingaustria an inviatation to a very special apres ski party and free ‘refreshments’. The bulk of the skigloo is in place, all that remains is some additional snow shovelling and then the creation of the entrance and domed roof space.
