FISS, AUSTRIA FOR FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS

The ski holiday resort of Fiss is the central ski resort in the combined Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski region and has immediate access to the skiing in both Ladis and Serfaus. Fiss is also marginally the highest of the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski holiday resorts. The three resorts of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis are rated as some of the best family ski holiday resorts in the Alps, with superb on mountain facilities and ski programs. The kids ski area in Fiss is handily located at the mid-station of the Fiss-Ladis gondola.

FISS, AUSTRIA - CENTRAL IN THE SERFAUS-FISS-LADIS SKI AREA

The Fiss ski area is located directly above the resort and over the peak at Schönjoch to include a large area above (but not linked directly into) Ladis. Much of the skiing and snowboarding in the Fiss area is suited to intermediates and advanced intermediates, with just one section of blue pistes located around the Schönjoch mid-station level. Beginners have ample gentle terrain on either side of the Sonnenbahn Ladis-Fiss godola mid-station with the run down into Ladis being particularly good for beginners. This area is located just above the resort of Fiss and is ideal for beginners and has excellent kids skiing facilities there. None of the skiing is too tough in Fiss but nor is there a great deal of beginner provision higher in the main Fiss ski area. Beginners should stick to the skiing just above Fiss and the piste into Ladis. For better skiers and boarders the Fiss and Serfaus ski areas have superb skiing on offer and whilst there is nothing too steep in the Serfaus and Fiss ski areas there is plenty of terrain to challenge intermediates on-piste. Off-piste can be excellent with great access to it from the ski pistes.
