FLACHAU APRES SKI - ONE OF THE BEST IN THE REGION

Flachau is one of the après ski heavy weights of the ski region to the south of Salzburg. Both on and off the slopes Flachau offers excellent après ski venues and après ski atmosphere. In the Flachau ski area there are endless charming and lively mountain huts whilst around the base-stations in the valley around Flachau there are bars and umbrella bars that heave from mid-afternoon onwards.

Flachau après ski benefits from the great transport connections that it enjoys to the local area. There are numerous day skiers and snowboarders who descend on Flachau and whilst the resort is mid-sized, the après ski around the ski lift base-stations can be mighty impressive - boosted by day and visitors and coach groups. The ski lift base-stations are the hub of the après ski action early on and the umbrella bars heave from mid afternoon. Later in Flachau itself there are a number of bars and clubs that offer après ski action till late. On the slopes the numerous mountain huts are a magnet for après skiers and snowboarders with the Purzelbaumalm mountain hut unashamedly signalling its intent with an enormous mock tankard coming out its roof. The piste either side of the Purzelbaumalm can see mass stopping zones for those sufficiently weak-willed or needy.
