GALTUR, PAZNAUN, AUSTRIA SKI HOLIDAYS

Galtur is the last ski holiday resort in the hugely impressive Paznaun Valley ski region that includes the ski resorts of See, Kappl and Ischgl. The road to the south of Galtur that leads into the ski region of Montafon is closed throughout the winter and Galtur has a peaceful, wilderness feel to it. Unlike many other ski holiday resorts that are located in the upper reaches of valleys, the valley around Galtur is spacious. The main ski holiday resort is Galtur, whilst the satellite resort of Wirl is located at the Galtur ski area base.

GALTUR FOR FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS AND EXTENSIVE SKIING

Galtur is the highest ski holiday resort in the Paznaun Valley and offers a dramatic setting at the upper end of the valley. Family ski holidays are actively promoted and the Galtur kids ski learning area is located on the edge of the Galtur satellite resort of Wirl. For beginners, lower intermediates and families then Galtur is ideal. The satellite resort of Wirl offers ski-in, ski-out hotel accommodation to add to the attractiveness for family ski holidays. For those wanting huge ski resources but need to relaxation of Galtur then the fantastic ski area of Ischgl is located down the valley. Ischgl is on the shared valley ski pass and for intermediates and better skier or snowboarders then the Ischgl is one of the best in the Alps. It is possible to ski over into the Swiss side of the shared ski area. Further down the valley are the excellent family ski holiday resorts of Kappl and See. Ski buses link all these resorts and in total the Paznaun ski areas make up a superb ski region. Après ski in Galtur is relaxed in keeping with the family ski holiday theme. Galtur is pretty and located in dramatic surroundings.
