Gerlos is part of the hugely impressive Zillertal Arena and offers an outstanding ski holiday option. Gerlos is located centrally within the Zillertal Arena ski area with Zell am Ziller in one direction and Konigsleiten in the other. The Gerlos ski area is a dream for intermediates and boasts a good top height and impressive snow record. The ski link between Zell am Ziller and Gerlos is high altitude and dramatic. The ski holiday resort of Gerlos is located on the high alpine pass that links Salzburg and Tirol. At 1250m, the resort of Gerlos enjoys good snow and the location is superb on the alpine pass with a river running the length of the resort. The area is wooded which add to its attractiveness but also has a great remote feel to it. At night Gerlos has a genuine ski holiday resort look and feel to it. Gerlos family ski facilities include a beginners / kids ski area in the resort itself as well as another large area at the top of the gondola station. The skiing in the Gerlos area is ideal for intermediates. Gerlos après ski is some of the best in the region with numerous resort bars and mountain huts.
