HINTERTUX GLACIER SKI HOLIDAYS – GLACIER SKIING 365

Located at the far reaches of the Zillertal valley, the Hintertux Glacier offers skiing year round on one of the premier glacier skiing areas in the Alps. The Hintertux Glacier has some of the steeper terrain of any of the Austrian glaciers but skiing and snowboarding is still best suited to intermediates on the Hintertux Glacier. The village at the Hintertux Glacier base station is a bigger than many other serving glacier skiing, whilst many of those skiing the Hintertux Glacier will stay in Finkenberg or Mayrhofen just down the valley.

HINTERTUX GLACIER – SNOW SURE & CONVENIENT RESORT

Hintertux Glacier ski holidays are ideal for those wanting to have snow sure skiing or skiing out of the main winter season. Skiing on the Hintertux Glacier takes place throughout the year but the best skiing and snowboarding conditions are from October to June. During the peak of the winter the snow conditions can be fantastic. The skiing and snowboarding on the Hintertux Glacier is best suited to intermediates but the Hintertux Glacier is one of the steeper glacier skiing areas in Austria and national race teams regularly use the Hintertux Glacier to prepare for the race season. There is also an impressive terrain park near the peak of the Hintertux Glacier. The ski holiday resort of Hintertux is located at the base station of the Hintertux Glacier lift system and is one of the bigger ski holiday resorts to be directed located at a glacier skiing base station. Hintertux Glacier has the benefit for family skiing of having accommodation located directly at the base station. Hintertux Glacier après ski tends to be good early on but dies down as the evening progresses and day visitors depart.
