HOCHSOLDEN SKI HOLIDAYS - SNOW SURE & GLACIER SKIING
Located in Hochsolden is the top lift station of the chair lift from Solden, a kids ski area, ski hire shops and a number of impressive ski-in, ski-out hotels. The location is also in the middle of the excellent Solden ski region. The Solden ski area has a vertical approaching 2km and is an extensive and varied area that reaches the Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers at over 3200m. At resort level in Solden the skiing is tree-lined, whilst the area around Hochsolden is open with views down toward Obergurgl or toward the Innsbruck valley. From Hochsolden it is 1 ski piste and 1 ski lift to get to the mid-station at Giggijoch, the hub of the skiing on the northern mountain area of the Solden ski region. From Giggijoch it is possible to ski over to the Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers for some superb wide ski pistes. And from the Rettenbach glacier a ski piste runs back to Solden and links into the Gaislachkogl ski region, the southern section of the Solden ski area. The Solden ski area pretty much has something for everyone, with Hochsolden offering great access to the skiing resources.
