ISCHGL SKI & SNOWBOARD - POWDER SNOW, HUGE SKIING
Ischgl, Austria skiing is on a big scale. Firstly the huge amount of off-piste terrain within the Ischgl ski area really extends the scope of an already huge ski area that stretches into Switzerland. Secondly, for those wanting to explore the Paznaun valley further, the ski holiday resorts of Galtur and Kappl are located on either side of Ischgl, whilst further down the valley is See. These 3 areas offer impressive skiing and snowboarding for beginners and intermediates. Within the Ischgl it is the intermediate and advanced skier and snowboarder who will most benefit. There is a large beginners ski area at Idalp with some very gentle terrain but it is the endless red ski pistes and the chance to access some serious off-piste terrain that makes Ischgl such a draw for good skiers and snowboarders. Ischgl is a popular ski destination but 3 high capacity lifts out of the resort of Ischgl as well as excellent ski lift infrastructure over nearly the entire mountain only add to the ski experience in Ischgl. Ischgl skiing ranks amongst the best in the Alps.
