KAPPL, PAZNAUN, AUSTRIA FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS

Kappl is part of the Paznaun ski region that also includes Ischgl, See and Galtur. Kappl has an impressive top lift height and some really enjoyable intermediate skiing. Kappl is marketed with See as the Kappl-See ski area and family ski holidays are heavily promoted in both resorts. The childrens ski area at the top of the Kappl gondola is excellent whilst the ski piste back to Kappl runs past a good deal of the resort accommodation making many hotels in Kappl ski-in, ski-out.

KAPPL-SEE, PART OF THE PAZNAUN-ISCHGL SKI AREA

Even in isolation the ski area at Kappl offers some great skiing. The area is best suited to beginners and intermediates, whilst the area is very family ski holiday focused. Kappl is located above the main valley floor on a mountainside. The main Kappl gondola leaves from the valley base station and much of the resort is located above this point. The ski piste that runs past a portion of Kappl accommodation ensures that part of Kappl is ski-in, ski-out. The kids ski area at the top of the Kappl is excellent with many different facilities all located close to the ski lift, restaurant complex. Beyond this the skiing takes place above the tree line with wide slopes, mostly suited to intermediates, whilst the impressive top height of over 2600m often provides good quality snow conditions. There is a relaxed feel in the Kappl with many family skiers and snowboarders. Beyond Kappl, See just down the valley offers pretty similar skiing and atmosphere, Galtur is the highest ski holiday resort in the Paznaun valley, whilst Ischgl has some of the best skiing, snowboarding and après ski in the Alps.
