KITZBUHELER ALPEN, AUSTRIA
With Kitzbuhel at its heart, the Kitzbuheler Alpen is a ski region made up of many big name ski holiday resorts, including Soll, Ellmau, Westendorf, Scheffau and Brixen. The skiing in the Kitzbuheler Alpen is on a massive scale and one ski pass covers numerous different regions. Ski buses connect outlying ski areas in the Kitzbuheler Alpen, whilst the Ski Welt is all lift linked and offers huge ski distances to cover. Kitzbuhel offers a fantastic ski holiday resort and excellent skiing.

Brixen is central to the Ski Welt ski region and is one of the best located ski holiday resorts in the region with lifts heading into the Ski Welt and also Westendorf, which in turn connects to Kitzbuhel.
Ellmau is part of the Ski Welt ski region as well as the Kitzbuheler Alpen area. Located at the far end of the Ski Welt, Ellmau offers some great ski safaris over into Westendorf and Kitzbuhel.
Kitzbuhel is the top name in the Kitzbuheler Alpen ski region, with the biggest resort, a famous ski area and the race – the Kitzbuhel Hahnenkamm Streif – the pinnacle of ski racing.
The twin resorts of Niederau and Oberau cater for the beginner skier and those returning year after year who fell for the pretty and relaxed ski valley in the Kitzbuheler Alpen.
The ski-out ski holiday resort of Scheffau is centrally located in the Ski Welt ski region and is part of the Kitzbuheler Alpen region. Scheffau is one of the prettiest resorts in the region.
Soll offers some of the steepest skiing in the Kitzbuheler Alpen area; routes down from the Hohe Salve being genuine black ski pistes. The après ski in Soll is also one of the best in the Kitzbuheler Alpen area.
Westendorf enjoys a great location between the main Ski Welt ski area and the Kitzbuhel ski area. Westendorf has lifts and ski pistes accessing both ski areas.
