KONIGSLEITEN APRES SKI – TERRACE BARS IN MOUNTAIN HUTS

Austria certainly has mountain huts in abundance and Konigsleiten fares well in this respect with a number of mountain huts both on the mountain and on the edge of the resort where the ski pistes reach into Konigsleiten. Konigsleiten is popular with the Dutch and beer is also popular with the Dutch making for an enjoyable après ski time. Konigsleiten though is a family resort and the après ski action is localised and pretty short lived once the lifts have closed for the day.

KONIGSLEITEN APRES SKI – NEED MORE? TRY GERLOS.

Konigsleiten après ski is a pretty relaxed affair and whilst there are numerous and popular mountain huts, terraces and après ski spots in and around Konigsleiten, Konigsleiten tends to attract more families and the après ski is localised. Gerlos though just around the mountain offers some of the best après ski in the region. The après ski action in Gerlos starts on the mountain and continues till late in the resort centre as well as the around the ski lift base station in Gerlos. Gerlos is also popular with the Dutch and the après ski in Gerlos is certainly the liveliest in the Zillertal Arena and is one of the best in the region. For those looking for things to do after dark other than après ski then there are winter walking trails around Konigsleiten and whilst the centre of Konigsleiten is quite compact there is a cluster of shops and hotels / restaurants in this area.
