KONIGSLEITEN SKIING – INTERMEDIATE HEAVEN

For intermediates Konigsleiten skiing is second to none. The Konigsleiten ski area is part of the Zillertal Arena ski region and together they make up a varied, snow-sure, extensive intermediate ski region. Ski safaris over into Zell am Ziller are superb with varied ski terrain and sensational views. Beginners have a dedicated ski area in the centre of Konigsleiten, whilst advanced skiers have some pretty impressive off-piste ski terrain that is well served by ski lifts.

KONIGSLEITEN SKIING & SNOWBOARDING – SUPERB SKIING

Heading in one direction from Konigsleiten is the beginners ski area around the Zillertal Arena ski holiday resort of Hochkrimml. The area offers excellent beginner and lower intermediate skiing and is directly accessed from the ski-in, ski-out resort of Konigsleiten. Beginners can also ski in the centre of Konigsleiten itself. Advanced and expert skiers can head off-piste and there are some excellent off-piste areas close to the main ski pistes that are accessed from the Konigsleiten ski lifts. But for intermediate skiers and snowboarders, the ski area above Konigsleiten and on into Gerlos and Zell am Ziller is an absolute dream. The area has a good height at over 2500m and a great local snow record. The skiing is varied and extensive and skiers and snowboarders can ski long distances in a day over to Zell am Ziller and back. The scenery as well is superb with views onto the Zillertal Valley, the local glaciers and beyond into Italy on offer. And for those venturing out on skis or snowboards, the end of the day can be enjoyed at a mountain hut and a ski direct to their Konigsleiten accommodation.
