LECH AM ARLBERG SKIING – SNOW, HUGE LINKED SKIING

Lech am Arlberg is famed for its snow. Lech is located between the ski holiday resorts of Warth and Zurs, the resorts that have the 1st and 2nd most snow accumulation in the Alps, it is little wonder then that Lech gets huge quantities of snow throughout the winter. Lech am Arlberg is also located within the Arlberg ski region, widely regarded as one of, if not the best ski region in the Alps. Add to this the great ski schools and lift system and you can begin to understand why Lech am Arlberg is so highly regarded.

LECH AM ARLBERG SKIING – EXCELLENT SNOW AND VARIETY

Lech am Arlberg skiing best suits intermediate skiers and snowboarders with little tough skiing on marked pistes. Intermediates can make the famed ‘White Ring’ ski circuit through Zurs and Zug and back to Lech, whilst the terrain throughout Lech-Zurs is generally ideal for intermediates. The most challenging section of the ‘White Ring’ is the ski route from Zurs into Zug which can range from very challenging to a breeze depending on conditions. Beginners can ski at resort level in Lech as well as at mid-station and have great ski terrain to advance into. The superb snow record in Lech am Arlberg and the Lech-Zurs ski region often ensure that conditions on-piste can be outstanding. For better skiers and snowboarders then the superb snow accumulations around Lech am Arlberg in the Lech-Zurs ski area and beyond make for some superb off-piste skiing and snowboarding. Lech-Zurs is the only ski area in Austria where heli-skiing is permitted and guided heli-skiing to the local peaks run throughout winter. St Anton is on the shared Lech ski pass and offers some of the toughest skiing in the Alps.
