Leogang access the Ski Circus ski holiday ski region - one of the biggest and best in the entire region. The skiing is diverse, large and it is possible to ski long distances out of Leogang and through the Ski Circus area. Leogang shares the ski area with the ski holiday resorts of Saalbach and Hinterglemm and is located in the next valley to these resorts. Connections to Leogang are excellent from Salzburg and Salzburg airport. For intermediate skiers the Leogang and Ski Circus ski region is one of the very best.

LEOGANG - INTERMEDIATE SKIING ON A BIG SCALE

Leogang skiing is part of the Ski Circus ski region that combines the Saalbach-Hinterglemm and Leogang ski areas. At the Leogang end of the Ski Circus the skiing is ideal for intermediate skiers and snowboarders whilst those venturing through Saalbach and into Hinterglemm can find some genuinely steep skiing. It is possible to ski from Leogang through Saalbach, into Hinterglemm then ski across the valley and return the full length of the valley on the opposite side all the way back to Leogang, making for an exceptional ski safari. The ski holiday resort of Leogang is easy to reach from Salzburg, is a good size and has a good mix between locals and tourists. Leogang family skiing holidays have the advantage over Saalbach-Hinterglemm of being quieter more relaxed affairs although there are ample facilities in Leogang to cater for families. Being Austria Leogang apres ski is freely available but in comparison to Saalbach and Hinterglemm the apres ski in Leogang is localised and pretty restrained. There are endless huts in the Leogang offering late afternoon refreshment for those needing a little apres ski.
