NAUDERS, AUSTRIA SKI HOLIDAYS

Nauders is located on the Italian border and shares its linked ski area with 2 resorts on the Italian side. Unsurprisingly there is a real Italian atmosphere in Nauders with many visitors coming in from the south. Nauders is located somewhere between St Moritz in Switzerland and the ski holiday resorts of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis. Both the resort and the top lift station have a good height and the option to ski in Italy on the one ski pass is certainly appealing. Nauders skiing is good for families, beginners and intermediate skiers.

NAUDERS SKIING – IDEAL FOR FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS

The impressive height of Nauders skiing as well as the shared ski pass make Nauders one of the better, lesser known ski holiday resorts in the region. The high terrain in Nauders is both interesting and often delivers good snow conditions. Nauders is popular with both families and Italians and there is a large kids ski area located at the top of the Bergkastel gondola - the Nauderix kinderland. Much of the Nauders ski area is suited to kids and families both in terms of the terrain which mostly consists of red and blue pistes and also the atmosphere – with so many families the atmosphere on Nauders ski pistes tends to be pretty relaxed. There is a large beginners ski area on the edge of Nauders as well as a short lift on the edge of the resort that allows access to the main skiing. There is also a ski piste running back to the resort. Nauders is dominated by mountains and in the valley a large castle that towers over the valley floor. The castle only adds to the feel of a border area – the strong Italian influence is also indicative of the location of Nauders on the Reschenpass border with Italy.
