NEUSTIFT & STUBAI GLACIER - THE BEST GLACIER SKIING

Neustift has a great choice of local ski areas but most skiers and snowboarders who stay in Neustift will use the Stubai Glacier, the best glacier skiing in the Alps and located just to the south down the valley. The Stubai Glacier offers outstanding snow, lifts, mountain restaurant facilities and for beginners, intermediates and kids the ski area is tough to beat. From October through to June then the snow and skiing are anywhere between good and outstanding whilst mid season snow is often superb.

NEUSTIFT SKIING – GREAT CHOICE OF SKI AREAS

Guests staying in Neustift have a wide choice of skiing and snowboarding options. There is a beginners ski area located in Neustift and a ski hill of its own at Elfer with a modern gondola leaving the resort of Neustift. The Elfer ski area is compact with just a few lifts but has superb views each way down the valley and has a long run from the peak back down into Neustift. Just south down the valley is the Stubai Glacier which offers superb snow and a fantastic beginners and intermediates ski and snowboard area. The seasons on the Stubai Glacier are long and the snow throughout the winter is often fantastic. Schlick 2000 is also close by to Neustift and offers a great, compact ski area located in a large natural rock bowl. The off-piste is a local secret in Schlick 2000 with some really interesting routes through the trees, whilst the lower section of the elevated valley offers a long, flat section that is ideal for beginners and families. Further afield are some of the Innsbruck ski areas that are also reachable from Neustift.
