Otztal has it all – glacier skiing above Solden on the twin glaciers of Rettenbach and Tiefenbach. Ski-in, ski-out resorts with Hochsolden at over 2000m and Hochgurgl a mighty 2150m. Solden has one of the best ski areas in Austria with varied and extensive terrain, whilst the après ski in Solden is rarely matched anywhere. Obergurgl just up the valley and located over 1900m has upmarket hotels and one of the best snow records in Austria. And down the valley toward Innsbruck is one of the best thermal spas in Austria.
