SEE, AUSTRIA SKI HOLIDAYS IN THE PAZNAUN VALLEY

The ski holiday resort of See is the first main resort reached in the Paznaun valley. See is an attractive and compact valley resort with a ski area that is suited to family skiing holidays. The resort is marketed jointly with Kappl as the Kappl-See ski area and whilst the 2 ski areas are not ski lift or ski piste linked, they are very similar areas and both appeal to families. Both See and Kappl are part of the shared Paznaun ski pass that includes Galtur and the very impressive Ischgl.

KAPPL-SEE FOR FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS

Families rule in both the See and Kappl ski areas. The ski terrain in See is gentle with all ski pistes either blue or red, there is little tough skiing in See. There is a childrens / beginners ski area located at the top-station of the Medrigjoch gondola that runs out of the centre of See and for families wanting to download at the end of the day the Medrigjoch is ideal. See has ski pistes that run back into the centre of See and past a good range of accommodation making a fair number of properties ski-in, ski-out. Over in Kappl the emphasis is also on family skiing and at the top lift station of the DIAS gondola there is an excellent childrens ski area. The skiing in Kappl is marginally more extensive than See but in most respects offers similar qualities to the See ski area. For those staying in See there are buses running to the Kappl ski area that is covered on the shared ski pass. Further down the Paznaun valley is the mega ski resort and ski area of Ischgl offering superb skiing, whilst at the end of the Paznaun valley is the ski holiday resort of Galtur, another good area for family skiing holidays.
