HINTERTUX GLACIER SKIING
The Hintertux Glacier is ideal for those wanting to have snow sure skiing or skiing out of the main winter season. Skiing on the Hintertux Glacier takes place throughout the year but the best snow conditions are from October to June. During the peak of the winter the snow conditions can be fantastic. The skiing and snowboarding on the Hintertux Glacier is best suited to intermediates but the Hintertux Glacier is one of the steeper glacier skiing areas in Austria and national race teams regularly use the Hintertux Glacier to prepare for the race season.
There is also an impressive terrain park near the peak of the Hintertux Glacier. The height and setting of the top section of the Hintertux Glacier makes for a dramatic experience on the snow – with views for many miles over the rocky peaks of Austria and Italy. The Betterpark snow park is a big draw with skiers and boarders flocking to the big range of routes from September onwards.

Tobogganing
The Zillertal valley hosts a number of excellent toboggan trails for evenings of food, drink & great descents.
Zillertal 3000
As well as glacier skiing, clients can ski in the excellent Zillertal 3000 ski region on the shared ski pass.
Ice cave
Submerge the glacial ice into a dramatic natural ice cave with ladders & walkways taking clients through the complex.
HINTERTUX GLACIER RESORT
The ski resort of Hintertux is located at the base station of the Hintertux Glacier lift system and is one of the bigger ski holiday resorts to be directly located at a glacier skiing base station. There are a few shops located in the base station resort as well as a fair number of large hotels.
The après ski at the Hintertux Glacier tends to be good early on but dies down as the evening progresses and day visitors depart. For those wanting to ski at the Hintertux Glacier, it is possible to stay at one of several bigger resorts located to the north of the glacier such as Mayrhofen, Finkenberg or Lanersbach.
