SOLL, AUSTRIA – STEEPEST SKIING & BEST APRES SKI
The Ski Welt ski region is ideal for intermediate skiers and snowboarders wanting to clock serious km’s during their stay. From Ellmau to Westendorf and beyond in Kitzbuhel, the ski region offers massive terrain and with the new gondola link into Westendorf the area is now all ski lift linked. Soll is pretty central to the action with Brixen located just over the ridge from Soll and Scheffau just down the valley. And whilst the Ski Welt ski region offers some of the biggest and best intermediate skiing in Austria, the skiing directly above Soll is the steepest on offer in the Ski Welt ski region. The Hohe Salve peak that is the highest point in the Ski Welt ski region offers steep descents on all sides, especially those heading directly back toward Soll. The warning markers are not always heeded and the slopes can be equipment-strewn at times. Beyond the Hohe Salve the terrain tends to be less steep and is ideal for intermediates. The lower ski pistes back to Soll can be tight and busy at the end of the day in high season but the Soll gondola is on hand to download tired skiers and snowboarders back to Soll.

SOLL SKIING

Soll is located at the heart of the Ski Welt ski region and its ski area centres around the iconic Hohe Salve peak, the conical shaped peak that dominates the Ski Welt horizon. Soll has arguably the steepest and toughest skiing in the Ski Welt ski region that is dominated by intermediate skiing. Away from the steeps at the Hohe Salve Soll skiing is ideal for intermediates.
SOLL APRES SKI

Soll is the leading apres ski destination in the Ski Welt ski region and one of the regional après ski super powers. Apres ski action takes place both on and off the mountain and prices tend to be pretty good compared to some of the bigger name apres resorts in the Alps. The witch theme that runs through Soll is a bit of a giveaway to the night time action.
SOLL SKI RESORT

Soll occupies a reasonably wide valley floor with the stunning Wilder Kaiser on one side and the iconic Hohe Salve on the other. The ski holiday resort of Soll is set back from the main valley road and covers a good distance across the valley. Soll is a traditional & attractive Austrian alpine village, albeit one that is well geared to tourism and visiting skiers.
