ST ANTON RESORT – APRèS SKI, RESORT CENTRE SKI LIFTS

The ski holiday resort of St Anton has an upmarket feel to it but remains true to its alpine roots and within the resort of St Anton there is a good diversity of hotels, apartments and resort amenities. The centre of the resort in St Anton has been redeveloped over recent years with the relocation of the St Anton railway station and the subsequent development of a wellness centre on the land freed up for this as well as the upgrade and relocation of the Rendl and Galzig ski lifts. Together these resort developments in St Anton have created a convenient central area that offers superb ski and non-skiing resort facilities. The main street running through the resort of St Anton is pedestrianised and features numerous hotels, apartments, restaurants and bars. Apres ski in St Anton is impressive and resort bars and slope-side après ski bars are often in full swing. Getting to and from the resort is a breeze. The main St Anton railway station is just across the river from the resort centre, whilst the main East-West autobahn in Austria runs just a few km’s away from St Anton.

The highest point and maybe the biggest challenge - the Valluga at 2811m offers the chance to ski off-piste down into Zurs am Arlberg on some seriously steep terrain. This video shows the routes from the top station of the Valluga.
