St Gallenkirch is the ski holiday resort that is located at the centre of the Silvretta Nova ski region – the biggest and best ski region in Montafon, Austria. Almost all the on-piste ski terrain in Silvretta Nova is suited to beginners and intermediates and for intermediate skiers and snowboarders the Silvretta Nova ski area is a size that should keep intermediates happy for a weeks ski holiday. There is a ski piste directly back to St Gallenkirch as well as the other ski holiday resorts that serve the Silvretta Nova ski area.

ST GALLENKIRCH - BIG SKIING IN SILVRETTA NOVA, MONTAFON

For beginner and intermediate skiers and snowboarders the skiing in the Silvretta Nova ski region is ideal and sufficiently extensive to occupy most for a week or more. For those looking for some air time, the park at Silvretta Nova is reputed to be the biggest in Europe (although it is unsure how this was quantified). And for those staying in St Gallenkirch and skiing or snowboarding Silvretta Nova, the additional ski resources of the Montafon ski region should be ample. Gargellen is the highest altitude resort in Montafon, the Hochjoch ski area above Schruns is interesting and good for beginners whilst the Golm ski area above Vandans gives further intermediate skiing and snowboarding options. Buses run between these 4 distinct ski areas and all offer something a little different. The Montafon ski pass cover the Silvretta Nova as well as these other ski areas. St Gallenkirch is one of the bigger ski holiday resorts in the Montafon ski region. Après ski in St Gallenkirch is impressive straight after the lifts close at the Silvretta Nova base-station but soon dies down as people head to their accommodation.
