STUBEN FAMILY SKIING – CHARMING, COMPACT RESORT

For families not wanting endless resort facilities and who are looking for a family ski holiday destination in one of the truly characterful alpine ski resorts then Stuben has a great deal going for it. Stuben is compact and traffic light through the resort. The Stuben ski lifts and ski pistes are close to the main accommodation in Stuben. Après ski in Stuben is a pretty civilised affair and Stuben has dedicated learning areas close to the centre of Stuben. And if snow is required for snowman building, Stuben is one of the best.

STUBEN FAMILY SKIING - EASY ON-PISTE AND EXTENSIVE SKIING

The ski terrain in the Stuben ski area is pretty well suited for kids and families. The ski pistes run right back to the resort church, which is also where the ski lift leaves from. On-piste skiing in Stuben is fairly easy and the learning areas are separate from the main skiing area. Beyond the Stuben ski area the Stuben ski pistes feed directly into the St Anton ski region with some long, easy routes back to Stuben. And from the Alpe Rauz junction, ski buses run into the Lech-Zurs ski area which is excellent for family skiers and children. But for the ski route down into Zug from Zurs, the skiing is pretty gentle in Zurs and the resort is ski-in, ski-out and is located in the centre of the ski area, offering dining and a few shops. The ski schools in Stuben are highly regarded as is the case in the Arlberg generally. Whilst Stuben might not have the endless resort facilities of some of the ski holiday resorts in the region, the accommodation in Stuben is generally upmarket and much of the accommodation boasts a good range of facilities for families and children.
