ZAUCHENSEE SKI HOLIDAYS – EXTENSIVE SPORTWELT SKIING

Zauchensee is one of the few purpose built ski holiday resorts in Austria, yet is attractive and low-rise, a far cry from some French or Italian mountain developments. The resort hotels are pretty much all ski-in, ski-out and there are several ski lifts leaving from different locations around Zauchensee. Zauchensee skiing is part of the Salzburger Sportwelt / Ski Amade region and is ideal for intermediates, reaching out to Flachau, Wagrain and St Johann. For intermediates the ski safaris are superb. Beginners have a dedicated ski area in the centre of the resort. For family ski holidays then Zauchensee represents a very good option. Zauchensee is essentially ski-in, ski-out and its compact centre is easy to get around. The hotels in Zauchensee tend to be large and well-equipped offering a wide range of services. The beginners ski area is located in the centre of Zauchensee whish is ideal for dropping off and collecting children whilst the ski area is pretty gentle and good to advance into. Zauchensee après ski is pretty restrained and the umbrella bars soon pack up in the evening.
