With the winter opening of the Stubai Glacier planned for the middle of September (dependant on snow conditions), the recent cold weather and snow across the Austrian glaciers suggests things are on track.
We were on the Stubai Glacier over the weekend to see how things were progressing for the winter opening and the section above Gamsgarten had a good cover of new snow.
