ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN SOLDEN

2nd – 4th April 2014

The Electric Mountain Festival is now set to become an institution in Solden’s event calendar. Monthly parties and festival events have been held across the 2013/14 season which are set to culminate in the Festival finale from 2nd to 4th April.

This electronic dance music festival is headlined by Klingande and Martin Solveig from France, and Netherland’s Electro House star Chuckie. Additionally, the festival sees top-notch music artists on the turntables – Tube & Berger, DJane Juliet Sikora, AKA AKA, Wild Culture or DJ Shany & Rudy MC.

The finalists in the DJ Talent Contest also have the chance to show their skills live on stage at the Hot Spot in the Alps – the Giggijoch.

Holders of a valid ski pass enjoy free admission to all concerts held at the Hot Spot in the Alps.

ROBBIE WILLIAMS, ISCHGL

How could you possibly miss this event? Combining the incredible pistes of Ischgl with the megastar wattage of Robbie Williams this concert is set to rock the mountains on both sides of the border! So set the date in your diary – May 3rd, 2014 at 1.00 p.m. Robbie Williams will perform at the legendary Top of the Mountain Concert in Ischgl!

Robbie and his entire big band are coming to present their number-one album “Swings Both Ways” on the giant Idalp open-air stage.  The set will include classics such as “Minnie The Moocher”, a new version of “Supreme” and his latest hit “Go Gentle”.

The 2013/14 season is a very special one for Ischgl, as the world-famous valley celebrates two anniversaries – the first is the 50th anniversary of the Silvretta Cable Car, and the second being the 20th anniversary of the Top of the Mountain Concerts (Elton John performed at the inaugural event in 1995!).

All lift passes for the weekend will include access to the event.

ALTITUDE FESTIVAL, MAYRHOFEN

March 31st – April 4th, 2014

The one of a kind Al Murray will be heading to Mayrhofen to headline mainland Europe’s biggest comedy festival, Altitude!  From March 31st to April 4th 2014 the Altitude Comedy Festival brings together an action packed ski holiday with a stellar line-up of comedy greats and the funniest new stand-ups, all up-close and personal in venues you couldn’t possibly hope to see them at in the UK!

Famed for his mock-xenophobic Pub Landlord character, Al Murray’s repartee and self-deprecating irony have marked him out as one of the biggest comedians of the past decade. Commenting on his headline performance Al Murray said: “I can’t wait to taste this Austrian Lager I’ve heard so little about. Bring on Altitude 2014”

Also, joining the bill are comic talents like John Bishop, Tommy Tiernan, Nina Conti, Terry Alderton, Marcus Brigstocke, Altitude curator Andrew Maxwell to name a few!
