The weather was cold and clear and the latest snow over the previous days the conditions were as good as you can get – really great news for all those visiting the Tirol during half term break. The 2 resorts are ideal for families and have good linkage between accommodation and the skiing, with a fair amount of the accommodation actually ski-in, ski-out. For those wanting to be close Ischgl but need to avoid the après ski then both See and Kappl offer great alternatives. They each have a fair sized ski area of their own with intermediate and beginner skiing dominating, whilst both have impressive kids and beginners ski areas. I cannot guarantee that you will get conditions like the 19th Feb 09 but that said, those days don’t come around too often in any case.
