Seriously exclusive resort, world-beating skiing.

Zürs am Arlberg is about as exclusive as you get in Austria.  At 1700m+ the ski resort offers ski-in, ski-out accommodation, high end hotels and has the second-best snowfall record in the entire Alps. Additionally, the Zürs ski lifts and pistes are linked with the neighbouring Lech am Arlberg to form the combined Lech-Zürs ski region and with the new Flexenbahn lift link to St Anton, the entire Arlberg ski region is accessible on the snow from Zürs am Arlberg.

Accommodation and skiing are located on either side of the main road to Lech am Arlberg. Ski bridges cross the road and hotels have immediate or easy to the slopes and lifts. There are several high-end hotels and chalets in Zürs with excellent facilities. Lech is just a few minutes down the road from Zürs and offers further dining, shopping and entertainment.

Zürs occupies one of the most fortunate locations in the Alps. Its geography means that it has been calculated to receive the second highest snowfall accumulation in the Alps, with Warth, the ski area on the other side of Lech am Arlberg, receiving the most. Zürs also occupies the central location in the Arlberg ski region with Lech am Arlberg and Warth to the north and St Anton am Arlberg and Stuben to the south.

Off-piste skiing around Zürs is fantastic whilst guides can be hired to take small groups on heli-skiing tours of the local back-country. Ski safaris, reaching far out to the south and north are possible for intermediates whilst steep skiing is abundant in St Anton.

lech am arlberg dining

Lech Zürs offer some of the most fantastic dining experiences in the Austrian Alps with superb food and venues.

Zürs is the smaller resort of the combined Lech Zürs destination. It is higher at over 1700m and most of the accommodation is ski-in, ski-out or with immediate access to the snow and lifts. There are a number excellent hotels and chalets offering superb service and facilities.

Outside of the accommodation there is little in the way of facilities – these are all located just down the road in Lech. Guests to Zürs will often wander between the hotel bars to sample fireside Zürs by night.

Zürs après ski is all about fine wines, sheep skin rugs and conversation. There are a few terraces in the centre of Zürs where people meet to sip at their drinks and bathe themselves in Arlberg sun but you won’t find a ski boot on a table anywhere in Zürs.

For this type of sundown revelry then St Anton just down the road offers is one of the best in the business. Taxis run between the resorts and it is easily possible to enjoy the mayhem of St Anton après ski and be dressed up in time for a Zürs dinner.

Lech & Zürs offer some excellent activities both on and off the snow. Snow driving circuits are great group events, whilst accessing the prized off-piste terrain by helicopter is an absolute highlight for skiers and snowboarders. Fine dining and sumptuous wine cellars are a big draw with corporate groups.

There are several rooms in hotels and restaurants in both Lech & Zürs that can be used for small and medium sized seminars and meetings, whilst Zug offers some wonderful, traditional venues.
